MISSIONS & OUTREACH
Calvary is committed to sharing the Gospel. We serve our neighboring community through participation with ACTC and other local projects. We also participate in the Christmas Shoebox program as part of our International Mission efforts. All of our mission work is committed to being Christ focused.
One of the many ways we support the community is by providing support to ACTC. Their main office space is provided for in one of our church buildings. In addition, members provide financial and volunteer support and Thanksgiving baskets every year.
CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX PROGRAM
Calvary is part of the Christmas shoebox program organized by Samaritan’s Purse.
Calvary started this mission in 2018 (34 boxes) and God has grown this mission to allow us to deliver over 500+ shoeboxes in 2020 and 2021.
SHOES FOR THE HOMELESS
The pantry is stocked and available to all who attend Calvary. Feel free to utilize as needed.
The pantry is conveniently located outside the nursery room at the main level. Plastic bags are provided if needed.
Feel free to donate non-perishable items by placing them on the shelves.
Calvary is involved in providing shoes (new or gently used) to local homeless shelters.
If you are interested in supporting this ministry feel free to drop-off new or gently used shoes outside of the choir room located on the main level or at the front entrance.
WORLD MISSION OFFERING
The World Mission Offering is the single largest source of financial support for the global outreach God accomplishes through ABC International Ministries. Your gifts to the World Mission Offering make it possible for missionaries to serve in over thirty countries, and for staff to provide vital support to the mission outreach of local believers in even more places. What God is doing in our world today is truly amazing, and the World Mission Offering is a vitally important tool you can use to join God in that amazing work!
Collected through the month of October
AMERICA FOR CHRIST
Calvary Baptist Church supports the America for Christ Offering which impact thousands – through ministries with marginalized children, mission trips that transform lives torn asunder by hurricanes, resources that cultivate Christian leaders, chaplains who bring comfort to hospitals and nursing homes, and much more. Two-thirds of received offerings are directed to the American Baptist Home Mission Societies and one-third are directed to the ABC regional office of the giving church.
Offering is promoted in February and March.
