PRELUDE “In
he Shadow of His Wings” by Franklin
Ritter
INTROIT
Because you have made the
LORD your refuge, the Most High your dwelling place,
no evil shall
befall you, no scourge come near your
tent.
For he will command his
angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
On their hands
they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion
and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
Those who love
me, I will deliver; I will protect those who know my name.

Mindfulness
Must Be Engaged
Thich
Nhat Hanh, Peace is Every Step,
pg. 91
When I was in
We must be aware of the real problems
of the world. Then, with mindfulness, we
will know what to do and what not to do to be of help. If we maintain awareness of our breathing and
continue to practice smiling, even in difficult situations, many people, animals,
and plants will benefit from our way of doing things. Are you massaging our Mother Earth every time
your foot touches her? Are you planting seeds of joy and peace? I try to do exactly that with every step, and
I know that our Mother Earth is most appreciative. Peace is every step. Shall we continue our journey?
