INTROIT 2226: “Bind Us Together”
CALL TO WORSHIP: Psalm
125
Those who trust in the LORD are like
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround
so the LORD surrounds
his people, from this time on and forevermore.
For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land
allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous might not stretch out their
hands to do wrong.
Do good, O LORD, to
those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.
But those who turn aside to their own crooked ways the LORD
will lead away with evildoers.
Peace be upon

EXTENDED LIFE OF THE CHURCH
SOLO: Drew Wright
THE LETTERS: James 2: 1-17 pg. 1054 Read by: Christian Kirby
UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
God, who knows no
partiality, forgive our insecurity in believing that we know which of Your
children you love best… Certainly You must love the rich best, because they
have so much… Or certainly You must love the poor best, because You have
created so many of them. God who loves
all Your children equally forgive our foolish favoritism. Forgive us for failing to see Your image in
the face of all of our brothers and sisters.
Touch our eyes and help us to see beyond the outward appearance. Help us to receive every one of Your children
as if we were welcoming you. Amen
WORDS OF ASSURANCE: `Truly,
I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did
it to me.'
*HYMN 567: “Share His Love”

THE LORD’S SUPPER
SHARING THE BREAD (#371)
I come with joy to meet my Lord,
Forgiven, loved, and free,
In awe and wonder to recall
His life laid down for me.
As Christ breaks bread and bids us share,
Each proud division ends,
The love that made us, makes us one,
And strangers now are friends.
SHARING THE CUP (#330)
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
GREET EACH OTHER WITH THE PEACE OF CHRIST

Be the Tie” (verse 1)
