10:45 Service of Anointing: Those requesting special prayer,
PRELUDE: “Palm Sunday” by David Paxton
INTROIT:
CALL TO WORSHIP : Psalm 118: 1-2, 19-29
O give thanks to the LORD, for God is good; with steadfast love
enduring forever! Let
"God’s steadfast love endures
forever."
Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the LORD. This is the
gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it.
I thank you that you have answered me and
have become my salvation.
The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.
This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous
in our eyes.
This is the day that the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Save us, we beseech you, O LORD! O LORD, we beseech you, give us
success! Blessed is the one who comes in
the name of the LORD.
We bless you from the house of the LORD.
The LORD is God, and has given
us light.
Bind the festal procession with branches,
up to the horns of the altar.

Decisions of
faith are personal decisions. It is for
us to choose if we will believe in God.
Decisions of faith are also public and corporate decisions. When we choose to follow Jesus we are
choosing to become part of the “Body of Christ”, the Church. If you would like to confirm the decision you
have made to begin your life of faith or continue that life as a part of this
congregation, come forward as we sing the invitational hymn and speak with the
worship leader about your decision.
THE LORD’S SUPPER
SHARING THE BREAD: #63
I need Thy presence every passing hour;
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s pow’r?
Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be?
Thro’ cloud and sunshine, O abide with me!
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine thro’ the gloom, and point me to the skies:
Heav’n’s morning breaks and earth’s vain shadows flee:
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me!
SHARING THE CUP #377
Christ, remind us of Your passion,
Of Your precious life outpoured.
Of the love which none can fathom,
And our victory ever more.
Bread of heaven, wine of promise,
Feed us with Your holy Word.
Nourish us with Your strong presence,
Risen Savior, only Lord.
