PRELUDE: “From The Depths of My Heart” by J. S. Bach
INTROIT
*CALL TO WORSHIP: Psalm
138
I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart;
before the gods I sing your praise;
I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for
your steadfast love and your faithfulness;
for you have exalted your name and your
word above everything.
On the day I called, you answered me,
you increased my strength of soul.
All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD,
for they have heard the words of your
mouth.
They shall sing of the ways of the LORD,
for great is the glory of the LORD.
For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly;
but the haughty he perceives from far away.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me against the
wrath of my enemies;
you stretch out your hand, and your right
hand
delivers me.
The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD,
endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands.

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Holy God, whose
shining presence, can be experienced in sacred places and, indeed, throughout
the whole earth, we confess that there have been many times when we have stood before
You unaware. We have walked unconscious of
Your presence on our way… We have been oblivious to the impurity of our hearts. As we stand aware of You now, we know the
words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts have not always been
acceptable in Your sight. So touch our
lips and our minds with that purifying coal from the altar, and send us forth
anew with Your word, for Your wounded world today. Forgive us, heal us, and empower us we
pray. Amen.

SHARING THE BREAD #509
Your love, O God, has called us here,
for all love finds its source in You,
The perfect love that casts out fear,
The love that Christ makes ever new.
O gracious God, You consecrate
All that is lovely, good, and true.
Bless those who in Your presence wait
And ev’ry day their love renew.
SHARING THE CUP #372
According to Thy gracious Word
In Meek humility,
This will I do, my loving Lord:
I will remember Thee.
Thy body, given for my sake,
My bread from heav’n shall be:
Thy testamental cup I take,
And thus remember Thee.
GREET EACHOTHER WITH THE PEACE OF CHRIST
