Primord= ial words about the unknown, the unformed, speak of…

        &= nbsp; “Darkness covered the face of the deep.”

In the = story of Noah and the flood, it wasn’t just that it rained for forty days it also says…

        &= nbsp; “The fountains of the great deep burst

        &= nbsp; forth.”

So it i= s that the deep could break forth and overwhelm the earth, as it did in the tsunami. 

What is able to resist this dark force?

There i= s only the Spirit of God which moves over the face of the waters… the deep.<= o:p>

Only You, God, can teach the sea its limits and keep Leviat= han in its place.

The wat= ers of this earth constantly work to confound our constructions and impede our way= s in the world.

So we turn to You, who have lead people through the waters,= and stilled the storm, lead in our lives and quiet our fears. Amen.<= span style=3D'font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Book Antiqua"'>

Decis= ions of faith are personal decisions.  It is for us to choose if we will believe in God.  Decisions of faith are also public = and corporate decisions.  When we = choose to follow Jesus we are choosing to become part of the “Body of Christ”, the Church.  If= you would like to confirm the decision you have made to begin your life of fait= h or continue that life as a part of this congregation, come forward as we sing = the invitational hymn and speak with the worship leader about your decision.
