Praise God!

Mission

At Calvary Baptist Church, we believe that mission does not just involve volunteering to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Being religious does not stop at just attending Sunday worship, but spreading the love of God beyond the door of the church. We believe each of our occupations to be a "mission field," a place where we live our faith. What we do for a living is an expression of our faith.

Check out some pictures of recent Calvary Baptist Church members doing mission work.

There follows some information about some of the missions that our Church supports.

Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) - Calvary Baptist was one of the founders of ACTC, and we continue our very active support of this mission to provide emergency food & clothing to the less fortunate. ACTC assists by providing: food; bus tokens for medical or job appointments; emergency, eviction, prescription, & BG&E assistance; & referrals to local shelters. Emblematic of our special relationship, ACTC's small building is located on Calvary's grounds. For more info, call the Center's director Cathy Burgess at 410-296-4855 or visit their website: http://www.woodbrook.org/aboutus/actc.html.

Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity - Members of our congregation are actively involved in Habitat's various projects. Check out their interesting website: http://www.chesapeakehfh.org/.
