Our Identity as Calvary Baptist Church:
At Calvary Baptist Church we are a community of God’s people,
United in love for God,
That gathers to worship and glorify God,
In the welcoming tradition of our American Baptist faith:
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
As guided by the Holy Spirit,
And community outreach.
On Sunday, June 5th the Calvary Baptist Church congregation voted to call Reverend Dr. William Sean and Reverend Sarah W. Lee to be permanent pastors of our church. They have accepted the position and an official installation will be on August 14, 2016. After an extensive process, the pastors and congregation are very happy and excited to move to this new period in our history.
Special thanks go to each member of the Pastor Search Committee for their hard work. Kudos to
Terry Dunkin, Susan Edwards, Tammy Geelhaar, Craig Howard, Frank Kaufmann, Diana Romano, and Drew Wright.
Please contact Drew Wright if you are interested in joining our new MOTLEY CHOIR! The choir is open to members of all ages who enjoy making music and would like to use their talents to praise God. This new choir will provide opportunities for those who play instruments or sing in a style that doesn't fit
with the more traditional music of our Adult Choir.

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to be shy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with tolerance, the learn to be patient.
If children live with encouragement, the learn confidence.
If children live with praise, they learn to appreciate.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children learn to live with acceptance and friendship, the learn to find love in the world.
If children are to inherit God’s love, then we must not keep it from them!
~Sight & Sound Bus Trip June 22~
The sight and sound trip was simply marvelous. Kicking off the day in prayer we headed to PA for a fabulous lunch at Bird in Hand and onto Sight and Sound to see the show Samson. Everyone was so nice and we had great fellowship. The show was just outstanding. I'd like to thank all who participated. Planning a great trip to the Gaylord hotel sometime in January. I still need to check with the Pastors about that but thought I would wet your appetite with the thought of another trip! Until then, God bless you and keep you. Jane Baumer.
