Welcome To Calvary Baptist Church Towson!

Welcome to Calvary!

Our Identity as Calvary Baptist Church:
At Calvary Baptist Church we are a community of God’s people,
United in love for God, that gathers to worship and glorify God,
In the welcoming tradition of our American Baptist faith:
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as guided by the Holy Spirit,
Through discipleship, Christian education and community outreach.

Please contact Drew Wright if you are interested in joining our new MOTLEY CHOIR! The choir is open to members of all ages who enjoy making music and would like to use their talents to praise God. This new choir will provide opportunities for those who play instruments or sing in a style that doesn't fit
with the more traditional music of our Adult Choir.

A big Thank You to Phyllis Cooper, our “bag lady”. Phyllis has been sewing
cloth bags and cane covers as a personal project to raise money for Calvary.
This thank you also extends to the members and friends who purchased these items. Phyllis has graciously donated the proceeds from this project to Calvary for the purchase of bulletin boards for our vestibule.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support for my
‘By Request’ Concert which was held at Calvary on May 14. It was a love fest
plus a blessing to all who came. God Bless each and every one of you and I love
all of you."

~Youth Sunday in May~
Thanks again to our children and youth for the wonderful ‘I Don’t Care-ibbean’
play on Youth Sunday in May. The witness to the Gospel was excellent, and the
reminder that Jesus is our treasure, and we are His treasure serves as a reminder of Godly priorities for all of us. We also want to thank Susan, Jane, Kathy, Emily, Drew and Becca for their hard work in leading and preparing our young people to offer their play and witness on Youth Sunday.
Blessings, Pastors Sarah and Sean

~Towsontown Festival April 30th~
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with Calvary’s Second annual Bible Give-a-Way at the Towsontown Festival on April 30th. We gave out over 50 Bibles. Special thanks to Becca Edwards who was the coordinator of the event. The following also helped by working 2 hour shifts during the day: Pilar Bernal, Phyllis Cooper, Justin Dunkin, Tammy Geelhaar, Diana Romano, Casey Scagneli, George Stover, Wendy Wallace, Carol Weitzel and Roger Zimmer.

~Third Annual Ladies Tea, April 23, 2016~
At least 2 months ahead, the Calvary ladies begin with the preparations and planning of the big event. Excitement fills the air as each lady decides the theme for her own table. They meet several times to discuss the specifics. We call back and forth sharing our ideas and suggestions. Our hearts and our hard work are poured into each and every detail. The night before the tea, the teapot chandelier is hung, the linens are placed and the tables are set. Our social room is transformed into a beautiful tearoom. In the morning, the servers are ready for duty. We are so grateful for all the hard work of everyone involved. We are also thankful to all the ladies who come each year to help support our church. Each year we have raised close to $1500 and the money is used for various projects around the church. We had 92 in attendance this year. Finally, but most importantly, we are thankful that Jesus uses us for His work to share God’s love and further His plan for each of our lives. Wilma C. (keyboard) and Carrie Q. (singer), we applaud you both for being the highlight of our tea. Hats off to our third annual tea! Until next year ladies, God bless you all.
